Are you seeing a keyword rank one day, then disappear from the top 100 the next? You’re not alone.
Google began rolling out its September 2026 spam update on September 24. The update applies to all languages worldwide and may take up to two weeks to complete.
During the rollout, search results can change significantly between checks. A website may rank on page one—or elsewhere in the results—then temporarily not appear within the top 100 results on a later search.
These fluctuations can occur while Google reassesses pages and sites as the update rolls out. Rankings may continue to move until the rollout is complete.
